Cricut Venture: Everything You Need to Know

What We Know So Far

The brand-new machine from Cricut is due to launch this Autumn, priced at £999.99. This is a jump up from the next most expensive machine at more than double the recommended retail price of the Maker 3. So...why is it so much more expensive?

Size: The Venture is pretty much double the size of the Maker 3, clocking in at a whopping 25 inches wide, with the capability to cut a single repeating design of up to 75 feet - although it's worth noting that this length is the same as listed for the Maker 3.

Speed: The Cricut Venture boats what they're calling "commercial cutting speeds" of up to 64.5cm per second, versus the Maker 3's 20.3cm per second.

Target user: It's clear to see that with the Venture, Cricut is targeting small business owners rather than hobbyists. If you own a small business making personalised t-shirts, the Venture will cut your production time in half, so you can see it paying for itself quite quickly!

When is the Cricut Venture being released?

We're expecting the first machines to be available in September 2023. The best thing we can recommend is to sign up for the mailing list of your favourite retailer now so that you can be one of the first to get your hands on it!

Are there any reviews of the Cricut Venture?

It's not been released yet so we haven't been able to get our hands on it to try it out, but you can bet your best cutting mat that we're ready and waiting to put it through its paces! In the meantime, some lucky Cricut creators have been sent machines to review by Cricut. We found this review from Hey Let's Make Stuff super useful!
