Make this quirky easel card with die-cutting and inking
Place the top cutting edge of the die over the hinge of the card blank as shown.
Open out the card blank and line the top cutting plate up with the fold of your card, then run through the die-cutting machine.
This will cut the detail into the card front – snip off the excess using scissors as shown.
Close the card blank and use a paper trimmer to trim the back edges of the card to be just wider than the intricate front.
Open the card blank and place it on a scoreboard, then score the front intricate section roughly in half and fold.
This is the intricate easel card blank to mount all the decorative elements die-cut from white cardstock, including an extra intricate frame, as well as some from gold card for shadowing. Use Nuvo to add colour to the white die-cuts.
Add a gold mirror card shadow to the coloured intricate frame and adhere onto a piece of acetate. Affix this to the easel card blank, adding glue to the folded piece as shown.
Matt patterned paper onto the easel base then add the embellishments, including the butterfly border stopper, using 3D foam pads. Heat emboss the rest of the sentiment in gold add white gel pen detail to finish.
