What is CraftWorld?

On this site, you'll find a world of inspiration from crafters you trust. We make it easy to discover all the best new ideas, share your love of crafting and create something amazing every day. We started as a papercraft-focussed website but most of our members enjoy multiple crafts, so we've started to branch out!

Who is the CraftWorld knitting team?

The knitting team here have a wealth of experience in all things woolly! We are Kate Heppell, Jo Cummings and Jayne Edwards. Our background is in magazines - we also work on Knit Now, Your Crochet & Knitting, Crochet Now and Crochet Society and we're super excited to bring all of this experience to the site.

How do I find free knitting patterns on CraftWorld?

We've been hard at work uploading patterns we think you'll love. All of our patterns are checked by four expert knitters, so you know you can trust the instructions. You can download all of our free projects here, or use the menu to browse for ideas.

Where can I get help with my knitting on CraftWorld?

Our knitting team has over 50 years' experience in all things yarn, and we want to share that with you! Head over to the how-to section to find step-by-step guides and expert articles to help you with your crafting.

What is the CraftWorld community?

We want to make it easy for you to share your love of crafting and be inspired by other makers around the world. Head to your social feed or join a knitting group and click "create post" to share your finished projects and make sure you add the tag "knitting". Your makes will appear in the inspiration gallery, and you can find all of the knitting posts on CraftWorld by searching for the "knitting" tag in the inspiration gallery. We can't wait to see what you share!

Do I have to pay to join CraftWorld?

No, CraftWorld membership is totally free! Just register for an account and you'll have instant access to heaps of exciting inspiration. The majority of content on the site, including our expert tutorials, lots of inspiring patterns and of course the community features are all completely free.

What benefits do knitters get from CraftWorld Premium?

We do offer a premium membership tier, which gives you access to even better offers, giveaways and freebies for less than £2 a month.
