Craft Room Sign - Perfect To Let People Know That Great Things Are Being Created
Place the MDF plaque on a piece of patterned paper, mark the holes at the top with a pencil and trace all around and cut out. Punch the marks made with the pencil with a similar-sized hole punch.
Add wet glue all over the MDF plaque and affix the patterned paper to it. Press the paper firmly down with your hand or a clean brayer. Leave to dry.
Sand any overhanging paper in a downward motion and add neutral-coloured ink with a sponge dauber around the edges to add definition.
Die-cut the letters three times each – twice in Crumb cardstock and once in white. Glue the two sets of Crumb letters together.
Once dry, adhere the white letters as the bottom layer, placing them slightly to one side of the original letters as shown. Add 3D foam pads to the back of the letters and affix to the sign.
Die-cut three small flowers from different pastel colours and glue to the letters then cut the scissors from black cardstock and glue to the letter.
Stamp ‘in session’ with black ink onto white cardstock, cut out and secure to the sign. Add a 10” length of grey gingham ribbon through the holes of the sign and tie into a knot on the back on both sides to secure.
Tie a piece of the same ribbon into a bow and adhere it to the sign above the top-left hole to finish.
