Christmas Poinsettia Card

1

Tape a medium-sized poinsettia die into the centre of one of the plain hemstitch circles, use lots of tape so they stay together, then die-cut this six times.

2

Use one of the detailed hemstitch dies to cut detail into three of these die-cuts and save for later. Cut a couple of ‘Merry’ sentiments from white cardstock and colour using a grey marker.

3

Glue the three plain circles onto scrap cardstock, follow the basic principle of the beginner’s step-by-step guide to add colour and glaze to the poinsettias, then while they’re still wet, sprinkle in red glitter and set aside to dry.

4

Once dry, adhere the other poinsettia circles over the top, and use tiny drops of dandelion yellow and woodland green Nuvo Drops to embellish the hemstitch detail. Set aside to dry.

5

Create a 21x8cm card blank, then add subtle background stamping with light grey inkpads. Stamp a ‘CHRISTMAS’ sentiment onto white cardstock, layer onto a slightly sarger strip of Copic coloured cardstock.

6

Once everything is dry, add the focal toppers to the centre of the card and add the sentiment and a cluster of gems for the centre of each flower.
