Christmas Cards and Wreaths by DebbieT 2020-11-29 My first Christmas Wreath made Christmas 2018 I used a polystyrene wreath base, all the elements apart from the bell on the bottom are Fleurs Flowers dies and Fleurs Flower Forming foam unfortunately there was not a foam in the correct colour for the pine cones, these were cut from cream foam and then coloured with inks. This is a Christmas Wreath I have just finished making for a dear friend who asked me to make one for her. Again it has a polystyrene base, but this one has a flat back so it will sit better against a door or wall. I used Fleurs Flowers pine sprig and pine cone dies. Again, there is still no Fleurs Flower Forming Foam which is suitable for the pine cones so I had to colour the cream foam with various shades of brown to create the colour I wanted. Unlike my Christmas Wreath, I know this one will sit outside so I have sprayed it with Crafter's Companions' Spray and Shine High Gloss Varnish to help protect it from the weather. The background paper is from a paper pack which was free with a magazine (sorry had it a while to cant remember which magazine). The Christmas stocking strip is made of washi tape. The striped panel is made from paper left over from other projects. (rather than use a full sheet of gold paper or card to make a mat or layer I used gold washi tape and edged the card before attaching the background paper, effective, less weight and saves card or paper)The red paper is from a Tom Holtz 12 x 12 pad that I won from a competition (sorry it was a while back so cant remember what it is called) The above Christmas Cards were created from stash that I have at home. The last one was a pyramage card from a kit I purchased from Create and Craft last year.
