CraftWorld Christmas Cards and Wreaths Christmas Cards and Wreaths By DebbieT, Sunday 29th November 2020 Share Articles Share Articles to CraftWorld Share Articles via Twitter Share Articles via Facebook Share Articles via Email Copy link of Article Copied to clipboard ssdhfdskfhs Below are some of my Christmas makes for this year 2020 My first Christmas Wreath made Christmas 2018 I used a polystyrene wreath base, all the elements apart from the bell on the bottom are Fleurs Flowers dies and Fleurs Flower Forming foam unfortunately there was not a foam in the correct colour for the pine cones, these were cut from cream foam and then coloured with inks. This is a Christmas Wreath I have just finished making for a dear friend who asked me to make one for her. Again it has a polystyrene base, but this one has a flat back so it will sit better against a door or wall. I used Fleurs Flowers pine sprig and pine cone dies. Again, there is still no Fleurs Flower Forming Foam which is suitable for the pine cones so I had to colour the cream foam with various shades of brown to create the colour I wanted. Unlike my Christmas Wreath, I know this one will sit outside so I have sprayed it with Crafter's Companions' Spray and Shine High Gloss Varnish to help protect it from the weather. The background paper is from a paper pack which was free with a magazine (sorry had it a while to cant remember which magazine). The Christmas stocking strip is made of washi tape. The striped panel is made from paper left over from other projects. (rather than use a full sheet of gold paper or card to make a mat or layer I used gold washi tape and edged the card before attaching the background paper, effective, less weight and saves card or paper)The red paper is from a Tom Holtz 12 x 12 pad that I won from a competition (sorry it was a while back so cant remember what it is called) The above Christmas Cards were created from stash that I have at home. The last one was a pyramage card from a kit I purchased from Create and Craft last year.
