Birthday owl - a fabulous card for owl lovers everywhere

1

Use Pinecone ink to stamp the branch randomly across a 14.5x20.5cm panel of white cardstock, including stamping over the edge.

2

Measure in 2cm from each edge and use a craft knife to cut a rectangle from the centre, creating an outer frame. Blend ink round the edges using Vintage Photo distress Ink and adhere to the card front.

3

Matt the stamped rectangle to an 11x17cm piece of dark brown cardstock and adhere to the card front.

4

Stamp the tree trunk towards the bottom of an 8x13cm panel of white cardstock, leaving room for twine, and colour in.

5

Stamp the owl onto spare cardstock, colour in and cut out. Curve slightly and adhere to the panel using 3D foam pads. Outline the image using a light beige alcohol marker and matt onto brown cardstock, leaving a narrow border. Tie a length of twine round the panel.

6

Stamp the sentiment, trim and matt onto brown cardstock, cutting a fish tail, and attach as shown to the card front.
