Birthday hugs- hummingbird striped and stamped card

1

Shake the Oxide Sprays, then decant out small amounts of each colour onto your glass mat (or into a palette) then use a rectangle of Cut-N-Dry foam to create a stripy background. Try not to dilute the sprays with water as we want them to oxidise later.

2

Once the background is completely dry, stamp the background stamp in clear sticky ink and heat-emboss with clear embossing powder. Then heat set.

3

Douse the background with water from a spray bottle and blot off the colour with kitchen roll. Repeat that a couple of times to lighten the colours even more, so the colour will remain intense behind the clear embossing powder and will oxidise and become lighter where there is no powder.

4

Die-cut the dry panel with a couple of square dies, then when adding the panel to your card, spin the outside frame round 90˚ and raise it up using 3D foam tape for a different look.

5

Die-cut the sentiment from a scrap of the coloured cardstock, heat-emboss the sub sentiment on another scrap. Stack up two white die-cuts of the hummingbird, and for the finishing touch add a scattering of gems.
