Birthday flowers - a pretty floral 3D card featuring a shelf of flowers
Learn how to make this pretty card using patterned papers. coloured card, a border punch, and stamped flowers in jars.
Create a white 12cm-square card blank. Score and fold two lines across a 12cm-long strip of plaid paper to create a shelf and use 3D foam pads to affix it onto the card front
Add a narrow strip of patterned paper above the shelf, and pieces of yellow cardstock onto the left and right side of the card front as shown.
Border-punch a 12cm-long strip of light blue cardstock, adhere it across the bottom of the plaid shelf and affix a narrow strip of purple cardstock over the join.
Stamp the sentiment onto yellow cardstock, and pierce two holes in the top. Thread baker’s twine through the holes and holes of the scalloped border as shown to secure it.
Stamp and heat-emboss the flowers then colour them using markers scribbled onto an acrylic block and picked up with a damp paintbrush.
Cut out the flowers and secure them above the shelf, using 3D foam pads for some elements to create a décopuage effect, to finish.
