Behind the Scenes at Love Sewing - The Colour Block Tunic Shoot

Take a little look behind the scenes of our Love Sewing 25 shoot...
Here's a little look at the latest Love Sewing magazine shoot. If you look carefully you'll spot our fab Editor Amy overseeing everything and making sure that our cover models and those all important garments look great in the finished images.
This month the cover pattern is the Colour Block Tunic Dress by Simple Sew Patterns. Doesn't our model look great in it!

Retro Colour Blocking
In the 1960's fashion designers like Yves Saint Laurent embraced the revolutionary aesthetic of colour blocking resulting in the mod fashion trend that we are now all so familiar with. The inspiration was the artistPiet Mondrian. We think it's great that styles like this are having a comeback, it's such a strong look and if you sew it up yourself you can be as bold with the mismatched colours as you like.
