Be a mermaid- girl's birthday card
Perfect mermaid birthday card for a little girl, created using mask stamping techniques on a circle panel card finished with glitter pen detailing
Blend Tumbled Glass and Cracked Pistachio ink through the bubble stencil onto watercolour cardstock, then remove the stencil, trim to a 5½”- square and blend ink around the edge. Matt onto black cardstock, leaving a narrow border and affix to the card front.
Die-cut a circle from watercolour cardstock and mask the centre as shown. Press the two inkpads from Step 1 onto a glass mat and spritz with water. Dip the circle into the wet ink and dry using a heat tool. Repeat until the desired area is covered.
Stamp the sentiment in black and add fish to the background. Stamp bubbles using Salty Ocean ink and add lines as shown using the black pen.
Stamp the mermaid in black onto spare watercolour cardstock. Colour in the mermaid and once dry, cut out leaving a narrow border.
Add sparkle to the mermaid and bubbles using the clear Wink of Stella pen when dry. Add water to the Yellow Gold paint and highlights using a fine paintbrush.
Adhere the circle to the card front and affix the mermaid using 3D foam pads to finish.
