Apartment Party- Fun Birthday Card With Children And Balloons

1

Fold an A4 sheet of grey cardstock in half and trim to 10cm wide to create the card blank.

2

Cut the Grid Panel die from grey cardstock and remove the wide panel, retaining just the 3x3 squares at the top. Trim the edges to fit your card front.

3

Die-cut one roof line, three windows and three door panels from grey cardstock, then three blinds from blue cardstock, using the Apartment Builder die.

4

Use the partial die-cutting technique to create the awning one scallop wider than the grid panel.

5

Trim a panel of Copic-friendly cardstock slightly smaller than the card front.

6

Place the grid die-cut panel in position and gently sketch pencil marks around the windows so you know where to stamp the characters.

7

Turn the pencil-holding schoolchildren from the Pencil In die into party goers by selectively inking the stamps so the pencils aren’t inked. Then add balloons, cakes and ice creams from the Limo Ride set in place of the pencils.

8

Colour the characters with Copic markers, then adhere the coloured panel to the card front and layer on all the elements, adding a narrow strip of blue card between the doors as shown.

9

Shape the awning by curling it upwards with your fingers before adhering it with strong tape along the top.

10

Finish with a die-cut sentiment banner from the Limo Ride set.
