A Prickly Birthday Card

You will need

  • Potty About Plants stamp set & dies
  • white DL card blank
  • white & black cardstock
  • Onyx Black Versafine inkpad
  • Fossilised Amber, Spiced Marmalade & Picked Raspberry Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink
  • Funky Fossil Retro Flower Pattern, Totally Tropical and Retro Pattern stencils
  • Ecoline watercolour brush markers
  • 3D foam pads
  • manual die-cutting machine

Run each of the three stencil designs through a die-cutting machine on a soft mat to emboss seperate pieces of white cardstock, leaving a raised impression of the stencil pattern.

Place the stencil back over the embossed cardstock and blend ink through it.

Cut a 6cm square from each embossed piece of cardstock and matt them onto black cardstock.

Stamp, colour and cut out the plant images. Stamp the pots first and use a Post-it note to mask off the top before stamping the plant.

Die-cut the sentiment from black cardstock and place it sideways along the edge of the middle square.
