Joy

  1. Cut cardstock to 18x21cm, score at 9cm to create a folded card blank.
  2. Cut two panels of glitter cardstock 8.5x20.5cm, and attach to front and inside of card blank.
  3. Stamp out three mistletoe images onto super smooth cardstock using a blank inkpad.
  4. Colour images using Distress Oxide and a water brush, put down a soft wash of colour to start with, once dry and add in more details using a deeper tone.  Cut out all three designs, leaving a small border around the edge.
  5. Stamp an additional bow using black ink. Leave to dry, or use heat tool to speed up drying.  Apply embossing pen to the inside of the bow, completely covering any finer details. Sprinkle with embossing powder and heat-set. Once cool, cut out around the edge of the embossed bow.
  6. Cut a piece of card stock 5cm-square, score down the centre at 2.5cm and fold in half.
  7. With the fold of the card on the right hand side, attach cut out mistletoe design to front of folded panel. Attach the other side of the panel to the back of the card, forming a wrap around to the front.
  8. Attach the second mistletoe to the front of the card using 3D foam pads, leaving enough room for a die-cut JOY to be adhered to the front of the card.
  9. Inside the card, attached the third cut out mistletoe design using 3D foam pads. Layer up the embossed bow, again using 3D foam pads.
  10. Die cut a second ‘Joy’ from glitter cardstock and adhere, adding stamped sentiment below.
  11. Finish card by adding drops of liquid pearls to the mistletoe design and sprinkle a few Glossies Dots, Winter Berries, around the sentiments.

Top tip

Use a fine tip glue bottle to apply tiny dots of glue to the JOY sentiments

Hope

  1. Take a piece of 18x24cm super smooth card stock, score down the centre to give a 12x24cm folded card.
  2. Using removable tape, add a strip approximately 1.5cm in from the left and right edge of card.
  3. Using pink inkpad and blending brushes apply a light covering of ink. Stamp the small mistletoe sprig using pink ink randomly over the blended background. Using a water brush, drag out a little of the ink to give deeper shades to the mistletoe, making them stand out.
  4. Stamp and heat-emboss in white the mistletoe design on to kraft cardstock, twice.
  5. Cut one piece of kraft cardstock to a tag shape, letting the right hand tail of the bow and the bottom of the mistletoe overhang.
  6. Cut out the second image, colour the design using Distress Oxide and a water brush, using different tones of green. Layer second image on top using 3D foam pads.
  7. Stamp just the bow area of the design onto pink cardstock using embossing ink and cover with white embossing powder, tap excess off and heat-set.
  8. Once cool, cut out the bow and attach to layered design using 3D foam pads.
  9. Punch a hole in the tag, thread with twine and wrap around card front, tie a double knot to secure.
  10. Stamp and heat-emboss in white onto pink cardstock the sentiment. Fussy cut and attach to front of card.
  11. Use glitter glue to add sparkle to the berries on the blended edges of the card, and add a sprinkling of Glossies Stars: Berrylicious to finish the card.

Top tip

A great way to add interest to the card is to add layers, pick elements of the design to layer up like I did with just the bow being layered up three times

Hope & Uoy

  1. Die-cut from super smooth card one large scallop edge circle, one large straight edge circle, and one large double cut circle using Layers, Frames & Banners Circle die set.
  2. Die-cut green cardstock one large straight edge circle and from pink glitter card stock one large double cut circle.
  3. To create card blank - on the large straight edge circle, score 1.5cm down to create a flap. Directly opposite the score line, cut off 0.5cm in a straight line which will be the bottom of the card.  Apply glue above the score line and attach to the large scallop edge die cut.
  4. Adhere the green die cut circle to card front.
  5. On the large double cut white circle, using just the large circle create attach a strip of removable tape across the circle, towards to the bottom.
  6. To create the inky background apply ink by twisting the ink pads onto a glass matt, put down an assortment of colours pinks, greens and blue and spritz with water. Gently touch the cardstock circle into the ink, just touching in different areas. Use the heat tool to dry, continue to add layers of colours until happy with the look.
  7. Adhere the inky background to the green layer on card blank.
  8. Affix to the pink thin circle frame and attach between the green and inky background circles. Use the inky background circle as a guide to get the pink glitter frame in place correctly.
  9. Lift removable tape - wipe it clean with a cloth. Stamp your sentiment in the white area.
  10. Stamp the mistletoe design onto super smooth using a black inkpad.  Cut out the design, leaving a small border around the edge.
  11. Use the embossing pen and fill in all of the bow, covering the details completely with embossing ink. Sprinkle pink glitter embossing powder, tap excess off and heat-set.
  12. Attach to card front using 3D foam pads to add dimension.
  13. Apply Glitter Glue to the berries and sprinkle some Glossies Stars around the sentiment to finish.

Top tip

To ensure your circle card stands beautifully when displayed, simply cut a small slither of card from the bottom edge. This will stop it from spinning around

Christmas Time

  1. Create a 15cm-square card blank. Attach the smallest double frame die to the card front, and die-cut to create an aperture in the front of the card.
  2. Take a piece of super smooth white cardstock 15cm square and randomly stamp the mistletoe design around the edge using Distress Oxide. Don't worry about the centre as we are going to cut the centre part away when we create our frame.
  3. When the outer edge is covered, gently spritz the designs and watch as the ink bleeds and spreads out. Don't apply to much water, give the ink a few seconds to react with the water. Once happy with the result use a heat tool to dry the cardstock, dry the back of the card too.
  4. To create the frame, using the dried inked background, die-cut the largest scallop square die with the small double cut square die in the centre creating a frame. Attach to the front of the aperture created in card blank.
  5. From glitter cardstock, die-cut the second largest double frame die. Add the skinny frame to the frame on the card front and add the large glitter square to the inside of card.
  6. Using a stamping platform, stamp mistletoe design using Distress Oxide. Spritz the cardstock with water, once happy use a heat tool to dry.
  7. Place it back in the stamping platform, wipe with an anti-static bag and stamp out using embossing ink and sprinkle on gold embossing powder and heat-set. Stamp and heat-emboss in gold an additional bow from the mistletoe design. Cut out the main design and the bow, layer together and attach the mistletoe to the top centre of the card using glue.
  8. Die-cut a banner from pink cardstock, wipe with an anti-static bag and stamp sentiment using embossing inkpad.  Sprinkle gold embossing powder, heat-set and attach as shown.
  9. Add some Glossies Stars around the sentiment to finish.

Top tip

When you add water to card stock it tends to bend and warp, a great way to flatten it is to either leave to dry under something heavy or using a heat tool heat the piece to help dry it, but always heat the back as well as this will really help to flatten it back out

Mistletoe

  1. Using a piece of super smooth cardstock 18x24cm, score down the centre at 12cm and fold to create card blank.
  2. Attach strips of removable tape across card front at an angle, leaving gaps between, making some gaps bigger than others.
  3. Using ink blending brushes apply different coloured inks to different strips on the card, blending between the tape. Stamp the small mistletoe sprig over the blended background strips in the same colour ink pad.
  4. Carefully remove the tape, wipe the tape clean with a cloth and place in a different area on card front - be careful of previous inking as it will still be wet - you can use a heat tool to dry if you want to.
  5. Repeat this inking and stamping until all the card is covered.
  6. Die-cut ‘Joy’ from glitter cardstock and the outline from vellum. Layer onto the vellum using tiny dots of glue and attach to the card front.
  7. Stamp and heat-emboss in white the sentiments onto pink cardstock and cut around them.  Add to the card front using 3D foam pads.
  8. Sprinkle Glossies Stars around the sentiments to finish.

Top tip

Once you have finished ink blending the card, remove the tape and use a cloth to wipe away the ink. The tape is then good to use again and again!
